EUREKA 5 ROZVADOV - FINAL TABLE PLAYER PROFILES
Seat 1: Marek Blasko, Slovakia - 2,100,000
One of the most prolific players from the King's Casino comes from Slovakia. Marek Blasko knows very well how to win tournaments here in Rozvadov. He won the German Championship of Poker twice here, earning over €62k on both occasions. Blasko is a live cash game and tournament player and so far his winnings exceed $400k.
Seat 2: Ruben Pleijster, Netherlands - 3,800,000
Ruben regards himself as a semi-professional poker player who likes to play tournaments. He had mostly concentrated on playing online but, just recently, shifted focus to playing more live events. So far that seems a wise decision, as he took down the Utrecht Main Event a few weekend ago for a career-high score of €52,000. If Ruben can make the top-three tomorrow, he'll beat his best result twice in a month. He's is grateful to be at the final table after getting lucky with pocket threes versus an opponent's pockets five at the start of play on Day 3. The Dutchman regarded it as the most important hand he's played in the tournament thus far.
Seat 3: Rastislav Paleta, Czech Republic - 1,400,000
It has been an incredible week for Rastislav Paleta here in Rozvadov. While playing in the Main Event day 1a, he outlined the plan for the festival - to make two final tables. And with getting there in the Main Event, his mission is accomplished. Earlier this week, Paleta made the final table of the Eureka 100 Grand Challenge, eventually finishing 5th after a 5-way deal to secure his caree's biggest payday of €10,398. Now he matched it once again, he has already locked €12,770.
Seat 4: Josef Gulas, Czech Republic - 1,100,000
Josef Gulas is a live tournament regular coming from the Czech city Most. Gulas made a back-to-back deep run here at Eureka Rozvadov. Last year, he fell shy of the final table being eliminated in 14th place. Gulas would secure his career's best result with a 6th position. So far, his biggest payday came at Greek Poker Tour in Vienna, where he earned €21,320 six years ago.
Seat 5: Josef Pavelka, Czech Republic - 785,000
He started playing poker eight years ago, but took a 3-year break and restarted his career just fourteen days ago. Pavelka made a nice come back to the scene as he clinched his biggest cashout making the final table. He does not talk much, but is amongst three Czech players who made it to the final eight. Thus far, no Czech player has ever won the Eureka Main Event, but Pavelka with his compatriots will surely do anything to change it.
Seat 6: Branislav Ondrus, Slovakia - 2,900,000
He considers himself as a semi-professional player, competing both live and online. Branislav Ondrus plays MTTs as well as cash games and enjoys the Main Event so far. Ondrus benefited from the Re-Entry flight and now he already celebrates his career's best reward. Ondrus confirmed he did not have to get through any critical moments on his way to the final table.
Seat 7: Raphael Wimmer, Austria - 3,400,000
Raphael Wimmer plays poker for three and half years. Back then, he started with home games but moved to the local casino and finally turned playing pro two years ago. The 24-year-old plays cash games and MTTs online and also studies law in Linz. He plays only around three live events per year but already made four final tables in local Austrian tournaments. So far, his best live result came in of them - Wimmer earned €5,900 as a runner-up in 2012. He travelled to Rozvadov with eight friends, seven of them also attended the Main Event.
Seat 8: Hossein Ensan, Germany - 800,000
Ensan is most certainly the most known player entering this final table. He got into spotlight at the EPT100, where he firstly took down the inaugural EPT Seniors Event (being just 50 years old and eligible to participate) and then had a great time in the jubilee Main Event. He finished 3rd to bank splendid €652,667. Ensan is originally from Iran but moved to Germany 25 years ago and now lives in Münster.
